WRDC purchased the 69th Street complex in 1987. WRDC completely revitalized and expanded the over 850,000 square foot shopping district that spans more than four city blocks. The revitalization of the former Sears site is an initiative to provide the surrounding under-served neighborhoods with a variety of fresh food choices, business options and housing built around Septa’s Millbourne Train Station which is located on site. This redevelopment represents an opportunity for WRDC to contribute to a socially and environmentally responsible development that will create jobs, rebuild a community and improve mufti-modal transportation. The planning of this project forged a strong partnership between WRDC, Millbourne Borough, the community and its stakeholders.

The Point – Pennsauken, NJ

Intersection of Route 38 & Route 70

The Point is an 118,000 square foot retail complex, consisting of five existing buildings and an undeveloped retail pad site. Currently undergoing a major redevelopment, the theater building received a facade renovation in 2013 and has two new big box retailers (Restaurant Equippers and Harbor Freight Tools).  All the other retail buildings have been given new facades, and both pylons signs were reconstructed and enlarged in 2011. Along with these structural improvements, landscaping and the parking lot have been improved.
